I was a little skepitcal of purchasing a used book that was coming from a Good Will in Fla. The book arrived in almost perfect condition, only one corner of the cover is bent a little, and the inside doesn't look like it was ever opened. There are 4 cookbooks from Holland America Line and when I was on our cruise I couldn't decide which one to purchase. I actually bought this one as a gift for a friend and liked it so much that after I got home decided to order one for myself. The prices at Amazon CAN NOT BE BEAT! Way lower than on the ship. I am considering buying the other 3 cookbooks also.
Beautiful photos with each recipe. Tested recipes aren't too complicated. Enjoyable cookbook just to read and browse through for inspiration.

I’ve got to say it: After reading this book, I would select Holland America Line cruises to go anywhere, based on what I see as their ‘adjusted-for-home-use’ recipes in this book!One of my favorite recipes is on pages 170-171, ‘Dutch Apple Cake’. For me, I would not slice the apples; I would spiralizer them!
