I've been playing MK since I was old enough to hold a controller. Now I am 23 and still a die-hard fan of the game and for the first time ever I decided to go ahead and read the comics. It is a nice story of the game. It is different from the MKX game storyline but that's okay because what's in the book is still a surprise! Reading this will give you more of an appreciation for the characters in the game. I have more respect for Kotal Kahn!
I might be biased since MK has had a spot in my heart for a long time, so I'll just comment on the product itself.The artwork is amazing. Detailed and practically leaping off the page, you can tell they went all out in terms of having it look good.It feels good as well, has a nice weight and you know it won't be a super short read, and it just feels like a quality product.Storyline is just awesome, but again, you know.I highly recommend this to MK fans even if you haven't played MKX (like me).
A surprisingly excellent story. Very unlike the Injustice series which was far too long winded and seemed to go into places that even an Alt.Reality shouldn't bother with. I truly loved some of the character development in just this 1st volume. Can't wait for the next one.
I've always been a fan of Mortal Kombat so i was excited to read this. This book is a prequel to Mortal Kombat X and the story is great. There are a lot of classic characters that appear in the book, as well as minor characters from Deadly Alliance and Deception. Each issue gets better and a couple of questions from the games get answered, such as how Sub-Zero became human again after becoming a cyborg.

Very awesome read. One minor gripe, only because he's my favorite character, is there's not enough Sub-Zero. Still definitely worth the purchase. Especially if you're a Mortal Kombat fan.
